Dear God

Comfort my parent when he/she feels like a burden to our family because of his/her needs. Remind Dad/Mom to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, and let go of all else that troubles their mind. Help him/her to place all worries about "tomorrow" into Your hands.

Your Word promises that those who stay focused on You and trust You will enjoy perfect peace. Draw Dad/Mom close to You Lord, and strengthen their relationship to You so this baseless unease about being a hassle to me and my children will fade.

If I or my children unintentionally say or do things that cause my parent to believe they create terrible hardships for us, help us recognize this behavior and change it. Despite our fatigue and busy schedules, show us how to be devoted to one another in love and honor one another above ourselves.
