Heavenly Father

You are not a God of confusion, but of peace. I need Your help in dealing with my dad/mom when he/she causes chaos between me and my child by overstepping his/her boundaries. I appreciate my dad/mom, but I need him/her to understand that I am the parent to my child/children and my rules, whether or not Dad/Mom agrees with me, are to be respected and followed.

Mature my faith, Lord Jesus, and help me speak the truth in love to my parent, especially when they allow my child to do something that I wouldn't approve of because of safety concerns.

Give me wisdom in this sandwich generation caregiving journey. When I get overly frustrated with Dad/Mom, remind me I'm following Your commandment to "Honor your father and mother" by caring for them while I'm also raising my kids. Thank You Lord, for restoring peace and proper order in my household.
