Father God
Please surround [child/children] with Your presence when they feel frustrated with Grandma/Grandpa in our sandwich generation caregiving journey. Fill him/her with compassion concerning my parent's [medical/mental/physical battles]. When my child expresses anger toward their grandparent because of my time-consuming caregiving role, help them place their anxious thoughts on You, Lord Jesus.
Give my child the ability to keep their annoyances in perspective and to pivot away from negative feelings about their grandparent. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my child's heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, despite my many responsibilities, guide me in teaching my child/children to always be humble and gentle. Foster in them a patient heart that makes allowances for Grandpa/Grandma's faults or struggles. Thank You, Almighty God, for Your steadfast love for my family.
In the name of Christ, Amen
