Almighty God
My heart aches when I know my child feels sidelined while I'm caring for my mom/dad. Please help me manage my many responsibilities so I can give my son/daughter the attention he/she needs and deserves. During moments when I have no other choice but to take care of my parent before attending to my child, ease their feelings of neglect and help them understand grandpa/grandma's unique needs and my role as their caregiver. Strengthen my child's relationship with You, Father God, and remind them on days when I fail as a parent that You are always mindful of them and You even know the number of hairs on their head.
Lord, make my child strong and courageous, because You are with them and will never leave or forsake them.
Instill in my child the desire to follow You wholeheartedly. I trust in Your word that says Your plans for those who do so are good. Enable my child to rise above these temporary frustrations in our sandwich generation caregiving journey and know You love them, You hear their prayers, and their hope and future is in Your capable hands.
In Jesus' name, Amen
